Job Overview
Timescale is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in backend development to join our team focused on AI projects. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing backend services for a new product aimed at AI developers. You will play a central role in building state-of-the-art tools for evaluating and tracing AI applications, as well as running the latest open-source models.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust backend services.
- Work on distributed systems and ensure their reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various components.
- Debug and optimize existing systems and contribute to the maintenance of the software infrastructure.
- Engage in the full software development lifecycle including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Go, but strong fundamentals in any language are essential.
- Experience with AI applications is preferred but not required.
- Deep knowledge of Linux, container environments, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Proven ability to design, understand, and debug complex distributed systems.
