Overview
Twingate is revolutionizing the way businesses secure access to their cloud, SaaS, and on-prem resources. As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building a modern remote access solution that simplifies and enhances security protocols.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with product and design teams to develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React.js and TypeScript.
- Contribute to our core frontend infrastructure, including our design system and build/test frameworks.
- Innovate with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with a passionate team to push the boundaries of what's possible in web development.
What You'll Work With
- A large-scale Next.js/React web application written in TypeScript.
- A Material UI (MUI) and Emotion-based design system.
- Jest for unit testing, Cypress for E2E, and Storybook/Happo for visual regression testing.
- A Python GraphQL backend with Apollo Client on the frontend.
- A Google Cloud production environment orchestrated with Kubernetes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in building and delivering large-scale React applications in production.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript with a deep understanding of React, its core principles, and modern features like hooks and suspense.
- A passion for creating high-quality, performant user interfaces.
- Ability to work remotely with excellent communication skills and independence.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Next.js, frontend testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Storybook, and Happo.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and frontend clients like Apollo Client, Relay, or urql.
- Experience with CSS-in-JS libraries like Emotion or styled-components.
- Experience with frontend build tooling like Webpack, Vite, Parcel, or ESBuild.
- Experience using a design system/component library, either internal or open-sourced like Material UI or Chakra UI.
- Experience with Python/Django and technical leadership or mentorship.
