About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality, user-friendly web applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing software for our React/TypeScript frontend and assisting with our Python/Go backend. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement software for the React/TypeScript frontend.
- Assist and implement software for the Python/Go backend.
- Write reusable, testable, and idiomatic code.
- Read and write technical documentation.
- Debug efficiently and effectively.
- Assume technical responsibility for various complex systems.
- Perform regular code reviews.
- Provide mentorship to team members.
- Break down ambiguous work and plot a course of action.
- Advocate for efficient, high-quality code delivery.
- Grow less-experienced peers through pairing, code reviews, and empathetic coaching.
Primary Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer.
- Substantial experience with React and TypeScript.
- Appreciation for UX.
- Experience separating the data/API layer and the presentation layer in front-end applications.
- Experience developing apps from scratch and shipping them to production.
- Understanding of the importance of unit and end-to-end testing.
- Remote work experience.
Bonus Experience
- CSS-in-JS tools such as Styled Components.
- RTK Query (Redux Tool Kit).
- Tailwind.
- Storybook.
- Playwright / Puppeteer.
- Webpack 4 or 5.
- Python/Go experience.
- Full stack engineering.
