Byterat is a cutting-edge data platform for battery science, providing innovative solutions to battery teams at leading companies. We are a rapidly growing, VC-backed start-up based in San Francisco, and we are looking for a talented Software Engineer specializing in front-end development to join our team.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer (Front-End) at Byterat, you will be responsible for developing and shipping ambitious product features. You will collaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining responsive and high-performance user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
- Implement and optimize GraphQL queries and mutations.
- Work closely with the team to design and implement new features.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
What We Are Looking For
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript with a strong understanding of their libraries and frameworks.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and its integration with front-end applications.
- 1+ years of front-end engineering experience, ideally in a start-up environment.
- Ability to write high-quality, clean, and maintainable code quickly.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Experience with data visualization, analytics, and modeling web applications is a plus.
