Job Overview
Somos, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong background in back-end development and a passion for technology. This role involves working on the development team to improve, extend, and transform existing products to be scalable, resilient, and modern. You will be responsible for developing ideas, conceiving solutions, and implementing proof of concepts and robust products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners to understand application capabilities and testing scenarios.
- Engage in hands-on development, implementation, integration, and testing using Java, Node.js, JavaScript, and Python.
- Build front-end applications using React and create microservices following API-driven design patterns.
- Solve real-world problems by developing highly scalable solutions using an Agile approach.
- Integrate with existing systems and stay updated with tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies.
- Work in a DevOps environment, contributing to automation testing code including unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience in a DevOps environment.
- Experience working in a polyglot environment.
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies: Scrum, DevOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration, and automated test tools.
- Experience with cloud-oriented development using AWS services such as RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, SQS/SNS, EKS.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies: TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, Storybook.
- Solid understanding of the Java ecosystem: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate, REST, Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases: MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Snowflake.
- Willingness to learn and write in new languages such as Golang and Rust.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in data acquisition and data science.
- Experience with serverless architecture.
- Experience in query optimization and GraphQL.
