Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Atlassian is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is fully remote, based in Poland, and offers a unique opportunity to impact our engineering teams by delivering creative improvements.

Your Future Team

You will be part of a unified R&D team that prioritizes initiatives supporting our customers' transition to the cloud while continuing to enhance our core product suite, including Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket. We aim to build a 100-year company with a world-class engineering organization, and you can be a pivotal part of this vision.

Responsibilities

Build and ship features and capabilities daily in a highly scalable, cross-geo distributed environment.
Collaborate with experienced engineers, architects, product managers, and designers in an open and collaborative work environment.
Review code with considerations for best practices in readability, testing, documentation, reliability, security, and performance.
Mentor and enhance the skills of your teammates through knowledge-sharing sessions.
Ensure complete visibility, error reporting, and monitoring of high-performing backend services.
Participate in Agile software development cycles, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and demo sessions.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in backend application development.
Proficiency in crafting and implementing highly scalable and performant RESTful microservices.
Expertise in modern object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, or Python.
Experience with database technologies (RDBMS like Oracle or Postgres and NoSQL like DynamoDB or Cassandra).
Passion for collaboration and a broad understanding of the SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS industry with hands-on experience in public cloud offerings (AWS, GAE, Azure).
