Overview
Atlassian is seeking experienced architects and senior engineers to join our Enterprise Acceleration team. This role involves the design, implementation, and operations of services to enhance the enterprise readiness of our cloud platforms. As a part of this dynamic team, you will deliver creative improvements to our products, collaborating frequently with other developers to produce the best code for the project and achieve outstanding results that our users love.
Responsibilities
- Work across multiple engineering teams to drive highly technical architectural transformations such as the adoption of Kubernetes.
- Engage with senior engineers to develop impactful platform components.
- Be the thought leader in domains specific to Security, Administration, enterprise-grade platforms, and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with peers in domains such as Trust, Risk and Compliance, Identity, and data to craft cross-organizational strategies.
Qualifications
- Broad experience in architecting, designing, and building large-scale distributed systems.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS with hands-on experience in one or more public cloud offerings (ideally AWS).
- Fluency in any modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, Go) and in architecture patterns for distributed systems.
- A real passion for collaboration with strong interpersonal skills supported by eloquently written communication.
- Ability to drive the long-term vision and strategy.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Customers.
- Adept at working with remote teams (peers, or customers).
- At least 6 years of experience in crafting and implementing high-volume, low latency distributed systems.
- 15+ years of experience building software, with 8+ years in an architect role working across teams.
