Senior Fullstack Developer (Next.js/FastAPI)

Role Overview

The Senior Fullstack Developer at Caide plays a crucial role within our development team, focusing on building and enhancing our flagship product. This role is centered around the use of Python FastAPI and Next.js, with a strong emphasis on both front-end and back-end development skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of these technologies to create scalable, efficient, and high-performing web applications. Working closely with our Lead Developer and AI engineer, you will integrate cutting-edge AI-driven features to ensure a seamless, robust, and intuitive user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications primarily using Python FastAPI and Next.js.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to incorporate AI functionalities into the application, significantly enhancing its capabilities and user experience.
• Design and implement back-end services with Python FastAPI, integrating with databases to ensure effective data management.
• Ensure code quality, stability, and scalability through comprehensive testing and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in web technologies and frameworks, applying this knowledge to continually improve our product and development process.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work, specifically with Python FastAPI and Next.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL is highly valued.
• Familiarity and experience with Golang is highly valued but not required.
• In-depth knowledge of front-end and back-end development processes, including API design, database management, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and understanding of scalable infrastructure for web applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a track record of working collaboratively to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
