About the Role
As a Senior Front-end Developer at DPG Media, you will play a crucial role in delivering the best news experience to millions of users. You will be part of our Selectives development teams, which focus on creating premium user experiences for our renowned publishing brands such as De Volkskrant, Trouw, Het Parool, and more. Our team is responsible for building and maintaining a white-label platform that serves web, mobile, and tablet users.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a full-stack team to develop new features for web and app platforms, such as podcast pages and article enrichments.
- Work closely with other front-end developers across different teams to ensure a cohesive user experience.
- Maintain high code quality and implement necessary security measures.
- Engage with Product Owners, UX designers, and business stakeholders to align on project goals.
- Identify system bottlenecks and propose improvements to enhance scalability and performance.
- Share knowledge and best practices with fellow developers to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Who You Are
We are looking for a seasoned developer with a strong background in high-traffic websites. You should be proactive, inquisitive, and eager to contribute to our team’s success. Key skills and experiences include:
- Proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with Storybook, Monorepo, Jest/Playwright, Node.js, and WAI (Accessibility).
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to take initiative.
