Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer for a full-time position with one of our clients based in Frankfurt am Main. The client specializes in business-to-business web applications in the financial sector, and their team is undergoing a major technology transformation from PHP to Python.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend web applications using Python and FastAPI.
- Design and implement APIs for frontend applications.
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker.
- Implement and manage Azure DevOps and BitBucket pipelines.
- Create and utilize testing frameworks.
- Set up and manage container environments and build processes.
- Ensure high standards of data privacy and security.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in backend development with Python and FastAPI.
- Strong knowledge of Azure (AWS and Google Cloud experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in DevOps practices.
- Experience with containerization and build processes.
- Expertise in handling data securely and maintaining privacy standards.
- Self-disciplined and structured work approach.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus).
- Experience in Natural Language Processing and PDF programming is a plus.
- Team player with the ability to bring innovative ideas and a keen interest in the company’s growth.
