About the Role
As a Senior Product Backend Engineer at xAI, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative consumer products that leverage our advanced AI models and algorithms. Your work will directly impact millions of users worldwide, creating delightful experiences and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that power our consumer products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of our backend systems.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure to deploy and manage services.
- Utilize containerization technologies like Docker to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in backend development with a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- Strong knowledge of databases, particularly PostgreSQL and SQLite.
- Familiarity with Rust and gRPC is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share knowledge with team members.
Interview Process

- Technical Interviews:
- Coding assessment in a language of your choice.
- Systems hands-on session to demonstrate practical skills.
- Project deep-dive presentation.

All interviews are conducted via Google Meet, and the process is designed to be completed within one week.
