About the Role
Join Standard AI as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Rust, where you will be instrumental in streaming videos from sites with limited internet connection to our cloud services. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Italy.
What You'll Do
- Develop high-performance software systems to efficiently process data from various sources and deliver outputs with minimal latency.
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to design, develop, debug, and support our service ecosystem, ensuring seamless delivery of model results to our production systems.
- Partner with cloud platform teams to design, develop, debug, and maintain our scalable data platform and its internal services.
- Promote and uphold our culture of engineering excellence, serving as the go-to expert for Rust and software performance optimization.
- Work with our tech stack, including Rust, GCP/GCS, Docker/Kubernetes, and OpenTelemetry/Grafana.
What You've Done Before
- You’ve developed great coding skills and are proficient in Rust development.
- Worked on projects where software performance was a key factor for success, and you have optimized the code and systems for maximizing efficiency.
- You are comfortable with cloud environments, containerization frameworks, and continuous integration platforms.
