About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer (AI) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for rapidly delivering REST APIs and AI/ML back-end services that support Generative AI models and workflows across various modalities, including image, video, language, audio, and 3D.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement REST APIs: Develop public REST APIs, including data storage and ML backend services, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Code Development: Write clean and extensible Python and TypeScript code.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management, design, research, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality and user-friendly products.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in APIs and deliver optimized solutions.
- Incident Management: Participate in incident management and root cause analysis to improve system reliability.
- Service Telemetry: Implement and improve service telemetry and event tracking across our products.
- Testing and Debugging: Implement best practices to ensure applications can be efficiently tested and debugged.
- Security: Implement security measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in building REST APIs for AI/ML-based services in a high-scale environment.
- Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Python and TypeScript.
- AWS Infrastructure: Experienced in building robust backend services on AWS infrastructure.
- API Documentation: Ability to define comprehensive API specifications and documentation.
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in Music/Audio: Evidence of interest in music/audio is valued.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is between $145,000 and $190,000 USD. Total compensation also includes stock options and benefits.
