Overview
EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Lisbon. This role involves overseeing and administering the complete procedure of transferring data science codebases from one cloud platform to another, offering technical expertise on libraries specific to the insurance industry, and working in tandem with diverse teams to comprehend the unique needs and issues of the migration project.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and conducting the complete migration of data science codebases from one cloud platform to another.
- Guiding and aiding data scientists globally in reworking and enhancing their Python code for the new cloud setting.
- Offering technical expertise on libraries specific to the insurance sector.
- Working closely with diverse teams to comprehend the unique needs and issues of the migration project.
- Pioneering the creation of most effective practices for data science workflows and model deployment.
- Identifying and rectifying issues related to library dependencies in the project.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years' experience in Python development.
- Comprehensive understanding of Algorithms & Data structures.
- Prior experience in the insurance sector or data science projects related to insurance.
- Familiarity with version control systems and cooperative development workflows.
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile experience.
- Proven ability to rework and enhance code for performance in cloud settings.
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
- Capability to comprehend business needs and convert them into IT requirements.
- A proactive, pragmatic, curious, and autonomous approach.
- Team spirit and superior interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English language (B2+).
