Senior Python Backend Developer

Job Overview

Accolade, Inc. is seeking a Senior Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Prague, Czechia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying new features for the Accolade Routing Domain, as well as maintaining the current code base. Your work will focus on providing self-service abilities for members and automating Care Advocate tasks, which are crucial for delivering critical services to our members.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand Business Requirements: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and product managers to understand business requirements and the scope of enhancements.
• Design and Architecture: Effectively design, architect, and plan the delivery of proposed enhancements using serverless architecture leveraging AWS Lambda functions written in Python.
• Development and Maintenance: Develop scalable microservice solutions and maintain the current code base.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team to translate requirements into efficient and innovative software solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Provide feedback, perform code/quality reviews, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in Python: High proficiency in Python and experience with object-oriented programming.
• Experience with AWS: Hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS.
• Microservices Architecture: Experience in architecting, designing, and developing scalable microservice solutions.
• Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a highly agile, innovative, and flexible environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Amazon Connect and exposure to Salesforce is a plus.
• Willingness to embrace modern DevOps culture.

Work Environment
