Senior Software Development Engineer

Job Overview

Adobe is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. This role is pivotal in the development of Adobe Journey Optimizer, a cutting-edge application for managing cross-channel campaigns and one-to-one customer engagement. As a senior engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that enhance our digital marketing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Lead the design and development of software systems, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
Debugging and Testing: Develop comprehensive unit tests and automated tests to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Collaboration: Work within a multi-functional team and collaborate across teams on large projects, contributing to deep platform architecture.
Agile and DevOps: Operate within an agile, DevOps-oriented culture, focusing on maintaining operational excellence and delivering with high velocity.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in React, JavaScript, GraphQL, HTML, CSS, and at least one other language such as Java or Kotlin.
Web Technologies: Strong knowledge of web and browser technologies, including HTTP/s, cookies, security, and serverless computing.
Networking and Microservices: Experience with networking principles, HTTP, REST, and microservice-based distributed systems in the cloud.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with direct experience in a SaaS environment.
Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Educational Background: Undergraduate or graduate degree in quantitative sciences or engineering disciplines.
Experience: 5+ years in the design and development of software systems.

Compensation

The U.S. pay range for this position is $108,000 to $198,500 annually, varying by work location and depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
