Job Description
Adobe is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA. This role is pivotal in delivering impactful user experiences for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), a market-leading solution for some of the world's largest companies. As a UI JavaScript Engineer, you will build innovative and user-friendly experiences, working closely with Data Engineers, Architects, Software Engineers, Marketers, Product Managers, and the Adobe Experience Design team.
Responsibilities
- Drive and implement groundbreaking, business-critical projects requiring fast, slick, and extendable UI using JavaScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and Adobe’s open-source React Spectrum library.
- Ensure the technical quality of projects, guide junior members, and assist senior team members in driving architectural and feature goals.
- Develop and exercise leadership abilities to promote a best-in-class Developer Experience, focusing on CI/CD end-to-end products.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Front-end/UI Engineer, building highly performant, elegant, and useful front-end solutions.
- Pro-level skills in React and GraphQL with a thorough understanding of their core principles.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities, with strong communication skills to liaise with Product and Design teams.
- Proven track record of building consensus among Product Managers, Designers, and various engineering teams while advocating for high quality and engineering efficiency.
- Experience leading R&D/prototyping projects and technical discussions.
- Proficient in writing and maintaining tests, encouraging code reviews with constructive feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
- Open-source contributions.
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience sharing knowledge with the tech community through talks, blog posts, or conference papers.
- Familiarity with Jest/Enzyme/Cypress/Playwright.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS services.
- Experience with Node/NPM/Yarn.
Compensation
The U.S. pay range for this position is $108,000 -- $198,500 annually, varying by work location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Adobe offers competitive compensation packages, including an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) and long-term incentives.
