Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer, Core Infrastructure to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our core product services. You will also play a key role in developing new internal processes to improve the efficiency of our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and test reliable cloud infrastructure services that support Webflow’s range of products.
• Balance reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency while refactoring and modernizing existing services.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions for services and processes.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Continuously improve on-call and incident response processes.
• Enhance engineering speed and safety through standardized processes, automation, and cloud best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems in a customer-facing environment.
• Hands-on experience with multi-region cloud environments on AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in container-centric architectures using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Mesos.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with fullstack applications and services in TypeScript, Node.js, or Go.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring and supporting less-experienced engineers.
