Overview
Join Cognitiv, a pioneering Deep Learning Advertising Platform, as a Senior Software Engineer in our Features department. This role is crucial for enhancing our proprietary Features platform, which supports our deep learning models to perform at scale. Located in Bellevue, WA, this position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to balance office and remote work effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design, architecture, and development of critical projects.
- Analyze new and existing system requirements to propose novel solutions.
- Implement and maintain efficient back-end services using C# and Postgres.
- Develop proprietary features using streaming, batch, and ML technologies.
- Mentor Junior Engineers through Code Reviews, Pair Programming, and Design Reviews.
- Develop automated testing and benchmarking routines.
Requirements
- BS or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years' experience programming with object-oriented languages (C#, Java, C++, etc.).
- Ability to own services end-to-end in the service life cycle (planning, design, delegation, release, testing, etc.).
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Thrives in high-intensity, high-reward environments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using enterprise cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
- Experience with containerized applications (Docker).
- Experience with big data technologies for batch and streaming use cases (Spark, Flink, etc.).
- Experience with Terraform (infrastructure as code).
- Experience with Python.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $160,000-$210,000 Base Salary + Equity.
- Actual compensation is based on multiple factors unique to each candidate, including job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education, and skills.
