About The Role
As a Senior Machine Learning Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge systems that train AI models like Claude. You will implement and improve advanced machine learning techniques to enhance AI capabilities and safety. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing critical algorithms and infrastructure for training AI models.
- Enhancing the performance, robustness, and usability of these systems.
- Collaborating with researchers to enable breakthroughs in AI capabilities and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve algorithms and systems for training AI models using methods like RLHF.
- Profile and optimize our reinforcement learning pipeline.
- Implement stable, fast versions of new training algorithms as proposed by researchers.
You May Be a Good Fit If You
- Have 2+ years of software engineering experience.
- Enjoy working on systems and tools that enhance productivity.
- Are results-oriented with a bias towards flexibility and impact.
- Have experience with high performance, large scale distributed systems and Kubernetes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $315,000 - $425,000 USD per year.
