Job Overview
Brightcove is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Studio team, which focuses on delivering superior media streaming experiences through web-based productivity applications. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, ensuring a seamless user experience and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy web-based applications.
- Provide operational support for Brightcove applications.
- Work in an agile environment with a team of engineers to create new products and services.
- Enhance existing solutions and workflows.
- Build support for AI company initiatives by collaborating with product management.
- Oversee technical aspects of large enterprise-level projects.
- Develop clean, high-quality code and automated tests.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of front-end software engineering experience with JavaScript.
- 2+ years of experience with React.
- 1+ years of experience with NodeJS, Express, & MongoDB.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Terraform).
- Experience with Linux, REST, and API design.
- Strong interest in UI and overall user experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI cloud development frameworks.
- Experience integrating with vendors and third-party service providers.
