Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Job Overview

Brightcove is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Studio team, which focuses on delivering superior media streaming experiences through web-based productivity applications. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, ensuring a seamless user experience and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and deploy web-based applications.
Provide operational support for Brightcove applications.
Work in an agile environment with a team of engineers to create new products and services.
Enhance existing solutions and workflows.
Build support for AI company initiatives by collaborating with product management.
Oversee technical aspects of large enterprise-level projects.
Develop clean, high-quality code and automated tests.

Skills and Qualifications

5+ years of front-end software engineering experience with JavaScript.
2+ years of experience with React.
1+ years of experience with NodeJS, Express, & MongoDB.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Terraform).
Experience with Linux, REST, and API design.
Strong interest in UI and overall user experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.

Nice to Have

Experience with AI cloud development frameworks.
Experience integrating with vendors and third-party service providers.
