Trunk is a dev tools startup, redefining software development at scale. We aim to flatten the lost productivity curve that software projects suffer as they grow in scale and complexity. When a majority of your engineer's time is not spent on actual engineering, when the tax paid to land a new Pull Request is greater than the time to write the code - it's time for a new approach.
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at Trunk, you will be responsible for building new user-facing features with beautiful and scalable UI components. You will work closely with founders and design to implement new feature concepts, build new APIs and data pipelines with gRPC and Node, and add analytics, monitoring, and alerts to our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience and intuition to zero in on root causes for bugs
- Ability to operate independently and collaborate with colleagues
- Production experience with React frontend and CSS-in-JS, utilizing hooks
- Production experience designing and implementing APIs, data models, and data pipelines
- Production experience with relational databases
