We are seeking a talented and visionary Engineering Manager to join our team at Zip Co. In this role, you will lead a dynamic and innovative team responsible for developing customer-focused, performant, and secure web applications. These applications are integrated into our affiliated merchants' checkout flows, ranging from small local businesses to major platforms like Shopify and Google products.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Development Process: Ensure the seamless and simple integration of our solutions into various merchant environments while maintaining the highest standards of user experience, performance, and security.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of modern web technologies, front-end performance optimization, and security best practices to design scalable, maintainable systems.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Inspire and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align front-end development efforts with broader company goals and strategies.
• Innovation and Excellence: Drive innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within our front-end engineering team.

What You'll Bring

• Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding relationship building, employee coaching, and development skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks/libraries including React and/or React Native.
• Performance Optimization: Deep understanding of web performance optimization techniques and tools.
• Security Knowledge: Knowledge of web security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
• Design and UX: A keen eye for design and user experience, ensuring the development of intuitive and accessible user interfaces.
