About The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team at Sentry, you will be instrumental in building the architecture that supports our services. You will transition from a legacy monolith to a service-oriented architecture, improving our ingestion pipeline and storage systems. This role involves planning and implementing significant architectural changes to handle millions of events per second.
Responsibilities
- Improve the design of our ingestion pipeline and storage systems.
- Help transition from a legacy Django monolith to modular, service-oriented architecture.
- Ensure scalability and efficiency of new projects by building on a robust platform.
- Learn from retrospectives to enhance system reliability and developer experience.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with distributed systems and high-scale environments.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Rust or Go.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
