About The Role
Sentry is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Ecosystem team, which is responsible for maintaining and developing integrations with various SaaS applications. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Sentry's performance and error monitoring tools are seamlessly integrated with internal tools and other SaaS applications like GitHub, Jira, and Slack.
Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain Integrations: Develop features and integrations with other SaaS services using Django (Python) and React (TypeScript) within our open-source codebase.
- API Tooling: Design and maintain API tooling and related services, assisting engineers across the company in adopting these tools.
- Scalable Interfaces: Design scalable interfaces for broad categories of SaaS apps, such as communication apps like Slack and Microsoft Teams.
- Research and Development: Investigate other SaaS applications to enhance Sentry’s product experience.
- Engineering Goals: Contribute to the team’s engineering goals and advocate for your ideas in the product roadmap.
- Quality Assurance: Build tests, set up monitoring, and alerts to maintain high engineering standards.
- Mentorship: Review code and mentor less-experienced engineers.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in building user-facing web applications and APIs.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills: Extensive experience with backend frameworks/languages for large-scale web applications, with a preference for Django.
- Frontend Skills: Experience with frontend frameworks/languages for self-sufficiency in simple changes.
- Leadership: Experience leading engineering teams or complex technical projects.

Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: €190,000 to €215,000 per year.
