Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at LoyaltyLion, you will be an integral part of a high-performance SCRUM team. Your main responsibilities will include building applications that are both front-end and back-end focused, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and of high quality. You will work closely with the Engineering Lead to design robust architecture and continuously improve your skills to help the team achieve the best results.
Responsibilities
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a SCRUM team.
- Deliver clean, well-tested, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to deliver high-quality UI components using our Design System.
- Participate actively in design discussions and be the voice of experience in your team.
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality solutions and code.
- Engage in continuous planning and delivery of valuable features to end-users.
- Pair programming and peer reviews to achieve the best results.
- Focus on personal growth with the Engineering Manager and Engineering Lead.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building applications across the stack, including designing for performance, reliability, and extensibility.
- Strong ability to diagnose problems at any level (Client, HTTP/Network, Server, Database, OS).
- Solid experience in building React applications and in-depth knowledge of TypeScript & NodeJS.
- Experience with RDBMS and a strong understanding of testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of good practices and clean code principles.
- Experience in Agile development practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience in real-time, low-latency, high-frequency transaction-based systems.
- Exposure to secondary languages used in our stack (Ruby).
- Prior experience in e-commerce.
