About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at YLD, you will be an integral part of a client team tasked with building innovative products. We are looking for someone who is curious, passionate, driven, and enthusiastic about software development. You should be proficient in problem-solving and crafting scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant architectures. Effective communication and teamwork are essential as you will be working in a fast-paced engineering environment to achieve outstanding results and deliver exciting projects.
Responsibilities
- Crafting Excellent Products: As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building new features that meet the needs of our clients' customers and improving their digital platforms.
- Continuous Delivery: You will be continuously delivering changes to products as our client moves to a full CI/CD model.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your team, regularly collaborating on engineering initiatives to continually push yourselves to be better.
- Show and Tell: Participate in regular show and tells to promote your work to both your department and the wider company.
- Client Engagement: Join our clients' internal events, including meeting external speakers and attending social events.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven commercial experience with React and Node.js.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, and ES6.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Familiarity with distributed version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with both relational and schema-less databases.
- Strong focus on continuous integration and delivery.
- Strong focus on Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience in building high-performance and scalable applications.
- Good understanding of the design and implementation of RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools.
- Ability to maintain composure when debugging production issues.
