About The Role
As the first member of the Tint Platform Engineering team, you will establish the foundation to enhance the velocity and Developer Experience for all Engineers. Your responsibilities will include identifying pain points, devising solutions, and implementing them from start to finish. You will advocate for code quality and maintain architectural consistency across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Review pull requests and analyze platform performance.
- Prioritize features by estimating effort and impact.
- Mentor Engineers through code reviews and peer programming.
- Own and maintain technical documentation.
- Propose improvements to enhance engineering efficiency and platform reliability.
What You Will Do
- Advocate for engineering best practices within the company.
- Drive technical refactoring across the platform.
- Lead by example in writing clear, testable code.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address production incidents.
- Lead technical design and planning for platform-wide initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- Over 5 years of experience in software engineering with expertise in Node, React, TypeScript, SQL, Docker, and AWS.
- Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and capable of handling ambiguity.
