Job Description
Join Amazon Music as a Software Development Engineer and be part of a team that focuses on long-form content understanding. You will work on building innovative ways for our customers to find and experience music or podcasts. This role involves translating functional and technical requirements into detailed software architecture and design, implementing and deploying highly distributed, resilient, and scalable services, and driving team-wide best practices for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Work backwards from the needs of our customers to translate functional and technical requirements into detailed software architecture and design.
- Implement and deploy highly distributed, resilient, and scalable services.
- Be hands-on and drive team-wide best practices for operational excellence.
- Stay current on knowledge to keep pace with rapidly changing science and technology, and work with the team in bringing new technologies on board.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design.
- Experience in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- Strong communication skills.
