Job Description
Join Amazon's Seller Fulfilment Technology (SFT) team in Seattle as a Software Development Engineer (SDE). This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Amazon's mission of building tech solutions that empower sellers to delight the next billion customers. You will be responsible for developing new system capabilities from the ground up for strategic business initiatives. This position is ideal for those excited by the challenge of setting the course for large company-wide initiatives and building customer-facing products in international locales.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable solutions for promise-related features in Easy Ship, handling over 16K TPS using cutting-edge technologies.
- Interact with various stakeholders to convert requirements, independently design, implement, and deliver features across marketplaces.
- Mentor other SDEs and establish operational rigor.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems).
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a total compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
