Amazon's WW Deals and Promotions team is seeking a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our dynamic team in Berlin. This role involves working on our worldwide feature that helps customers find great promotions on products, a key element of events like Prime Day. Our features are utilized by hundreds of millions of customers and are crucial to our multi-billion dollar business.
Responsibilities
- Review product requirements and design software architectures.
- Translate requirements into engineering tasks and implement them.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to deliver production-ready code.
- Optimize promotions ingestion, classification, and ranking.
- Enhance promotions discovery across various platforms including mobile and desktop.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in professional software development.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in programming with languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building complex software systems.
