Amazon's Sponsored Brands (SB) team, part of the Amazon Advertising organization, is on a mission to create world-class brand shopping experiences. Key Responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer, you will:
- Work on SB Ad Serving services, a low-latency, high TPS, distributed system serving billions of Amazon shoppers and millions of advertisers internationally.
- Engage in multiple cross-organizational architectural and business projects with high impact and visibility.
- Partner with various teams within Amazon to contribute to new experiences, build new APIs, and collaborate with scientists.
- Develop unique and engaging features to be used by millions of customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Programming experience with modern languages such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and ability to convert ambiguous requirements into structured solutions and actions.
- Experience communicating requirements and technical designs with both technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Machine Learning, and Advertising is a plus.
Work Location
Preferred work locations are Seattle or New York City.
Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
