About The Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer - DevOps to join our team in Mountain View, CA. This role involves improving developer experience and deployment processes across engineering teams. You will identify key sources of friction, develop new tools, and enhance the velocity and reliability of our software and robotics development and deployment lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve tools, libraries, and frameworks for our engineering team.
- Build and test scalable tools for deploying to various robotic and cloud platforms.
- Optimize compile/build times using tools like Bazel, CMake, Docker.
- Improve software deployment and data collection frameworks.
- Identify and solve bottlenecks within our software stack.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with CI, build, and deployment technologies like Bazel, Buildkite, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Comfortability with scripting for automation.
- Experience with Linux and/or ARM systems.
- Experience working with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Nice to Have
- Experience in automotive, robotics, or related industries.
- Experience with ROS or similar robotics middleware.
- Experience with deploying software on either public clouds (e.g., AWS) or on-premise clusters.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $125,000 - $222,000 USD annually.

- This is an on-site position requiring presence in the office 5 days a week.
