About The Role

Our robotics team is growing and we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Mapping & Localization team. We're searching for an engineer with experience building and maintaining tools for autonomous navigation map generation and annotation, and a strong desire to contribute to the future of robot navigation for logistics and transportation.

About The Work

Design and implement computer vision & 3D geometry related ML pipelines used in various L&M systems. Investigate state-of-the-art algorithms for long term experimental projects related to mapping and semantic understanding. Work cross functionally with other ML teams to integrate algorithms into centralized architectures. Scope out and assist in implementing labeling taxonomies and methodologies, as well as data mining. Work closely with other autonomy engineers to integrate detection pipelines into the autonomy system and analyze resource usage.

About You

You should have experience in computer vision, 3D geometry, or robotics related ML applications. Integration experience is crucial, including a background in working with robotics systems and practical real-world considerations in design/implementation. Systems coding skills (C++ or equivalent) and experience with Transformer ML architectures are a plus, as well as familiarity with topics in ML based mapping and robotics related topics like SLAM, nonlinear optimization, state estimation, probabilistic filtering, and 3D/visual geometry.

What We Offer

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $167,200 and $250,800 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
