Join Meta as a Software Engineer in Generative AI

Meta is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Create AIs team. This role involves building innovative products using Large Language Models (LLM). We are looking for experts in Natural Language Processing (NLP) with experience in large model training, reinforcement learning, LLM alignment, explainable AI, language model evaluation, multilingual and multimodal modeling, and responsible data processing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and execute research that advances the state of the art in responsible large language model research.
• Directly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, writing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results.
• Develop methodologies and benchmarks to evaluate different approaches.
• Work with a large and globally distributed team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
• Experience holding an industry, faculty, or government researcher position.
• Experience developing machine learning algorithms or machine learning infrastructure in Python.
• Experience writing software and executing complex experiments involving large AI models and datasets.
• A PhD in AI, computer science, data science, or related technical fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in generative AI and LLM research.
• First author publications experience at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV, and ACL).

Compensation

• $56.25/hour to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
