Job Overview
Meta's Generative AI Org is looking for a Research Scientist Manager to lead our efforts in developing next-generation large language models (LLMs). This role involves growing a team of domain experts, developing technical vision, and driving execution to enhance end-user experiences with AI-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Grow and manage a team of experts in the Language Foundation of Generative AI.
- Technical Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a long-term strategy for the team and organization.
- Project Execution: Drive the development of models and systems crucial to user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to facilitate projects.
- Recruitment and Management: Recruit, structure, and lead technical organizations, including performance management.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in large language model, NLP, and Transformer modeling.
- 3+ years of experience leading software engineering and research teams.
- Proven track record in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in deep learning, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of LLM frameworks like LangChain and training LLMs, especially LLaMa.
