The Role
As a Software Engineer II at Rover, you will be part of our dynamic engineering team, contributing to the development of our innovative pet care platform. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, ensuring a seamless, high-quality user experience. You will work on various projects, from enhancing our web applications to optimizing our database management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using React.js and other web frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure robustness, performance, and security of the web applications.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Continuously learn and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a professional software developer.
- Proficiency in React and a web framework (such as Django, Next.js, Rails, etc).
- Familiarity with CSS and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
