About the Role
As a Software Engineer at Gecko Robotics, you will be part of a dynamic team that plays a crucial role in processing and analyzing the vast amounts of data collected by our wall-climbing robots. You will work in a highly collaborative environment to design, code, and ship features that unlock insights and value from the data collected by Gecko robots every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
- Develop and maintain software applications using Python, React, and Typescript.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform to deploy and manage applications.
- Design secure, user-friendly APIs that enable intuitive data interaction and application development.
- Build, maintain, and replace data infrastructure to support the company's growing needs.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Teams You May Work With
- Data Systems: Focus on turning raw inspection data into deliverables for customers and developing automated processing pipelines.
- Enterprise: Develop customer-facing enterprise software, including map-based fleet management solutions and digital twin systems.
- Rolodex: Build critical backend services and a single source of truth data lake used across teams.
- Platform: Empower software engineers by reducing blockers and increasing velocity through automation and shared libraries.
About You
- Expertise in writing clean, maintainable code for a production environment.
- Experience designing secure, user-friendly APIs.
- Real-world experience building and maintaining data infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous feedback.
- Open mindset to new ideas and innovative problem-solving.
- High self-motivation and a love of self-directed learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on development experience in a production environment.
