About the Provider Tools Team

As a member of the Provider Tools team, you will be part of a dedicated group focused on making Rover the easiest way to find and book quality pet care. Our mission is to enhance the experience of our providers, who are the sitters offering pet care services on our platform. We are committed to delivering a set of tools that empower sitters to manage their businesses effectively. This includes developing innovative solutions for preference management, calendar and availability, pricing and rates, and more. Our ultimate goal is to help sitters achieve their business objectives while ensuring the integrity of our platform and minimizing the risk of diversion. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features.
• Develop and maintain high-quality code.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and foster a culture of learning.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
• Work across the stack to deliver complete solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a professional software developer.
• Extensive experience with frontend development.
• Strong and proven knowledge of ReactJS or React Native.
• Familiarity with Python or another backend language.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of relational databases and schema design.
• Passionate about automated testing, code quality, and general software engineering best practices.
• Experience with different agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/XP).

Bonus Skills

• Professional experience with Django and other Python-based frameworks.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (like Playwright or Cypress).
• Familiarity with TDD and BDD.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and Splunk.
• Experience with continuous integration/deployment tools.

This position is located at our Barcelona office. Applicants must currently have the right to live and work in Spain. We can help with relocation assistance, though!
