Job Overview
Box is seeking a Software Engineer III with a focus on Cloud Networking to join our dynamic team in Warsaw, Poland. As a leader in cloud content management, Box is at the forefront of digital transformation, helping enterprises modernize their workflows. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and scaling our global network infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure content management for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Build: Lead the design and implementation of Box's global network infrastructure, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Arista, white box networking, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead in creating solutions that meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with security, compliance, data center, and other operations teams to enhance and maintain the infrastructure for our hyper-scale SaaS platform.
- Automation and Optimization: Develop and implement automation tools and frameworks to optimize network performance and reliability.
Who You Are
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a large-scale enterprise or service provider network environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in configuring routing and switching devices (Arista, Cisco, Juniper) and have a strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and the OSI Model.
- Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloud network solutions using major public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Programming Skills: Strong scripting skills in Python or Go, with experience in automation and tool development.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical, design, engineering, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Python and Django programming.
- Strong interpersonal communication and reporting skills.
- Hands-on experience with high-performance network optimization in large-scale, multi-site environments.
Work Environment
Box values community and collaboration, with a hybrid work model that requires employees to work from the office at least two days a week, focusing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
