Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Orchestration team, you will be pivotal in developing the distributed software architecture essential for our data labeling services. This role involves:
- Designing and implementing large-scale workflow orchestration using advanced distributed systems techniques involving queues, databases, and job management.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, design, and other engineering groups to transform ideas into implemented features.
- Mentoring junior engineers and leading initiatives to drive project completion.
- Participating in sprint planning and standups, and supporting the team in resolving customer issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop features for orchestrating large-scale workflows.
- Engage in technical discussions and sprint planning.
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new technologies as needed.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, particularly in distributed systems.
- Proficient in Python, TypeScript, and familiar with Kubernetes and other orchestration technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
