Depending on your skills and experience, you’ll have the opportunity to join one of several teams to tackle some of the toughest challenges in building the future of content management in the cloud.
Your Role
As a Senior Software Backend Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed services that provide performant access to user data.
- Work on teams such as Content Experiences, Core Data, Event Stream, Partner Integrations, and Relay.
- Directly impact the productivity of millions of users at significant enterprises.
- Be a technical expert, providing guidance to junior engineers on best practices and complex technical issues.
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficient in Java (preferred), PHP, or Scala.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with public cloud systems such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience contributing to open source projects is a plus.
- Must speak English proficiently.

Work Environment
Box values community and in-person collaboration. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, focusing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
