About the Role
As a Software Engineer III in the Partner Integrations team at Box, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing integrations with our external partners, which include some of the largest tech companies globally. You will be involved in medium to large projects, collaborating closely with a development team and a product manager. Your work will involve releasing new versions of integrations, which include new features, requiring you to research, design, and develop these functionalities. This role offers continuous learning opportunities and the chance to significantly influence how integrations function.
Responsibilities
- Develop new apps, product integrations, and frameworks to support our strategic partners.
- Work on a tech stack that includes Java, Node.js, JavaScript, React.js, with minimal contact with PHP.
- Participate in the production on-call rotation with team members.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements and break down complex projects.
- Engage in stand-ups and maintain sprint task statuses daily.
- Attend team, project, and manager meetings weekly.
Who You Are
- You have 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- You hold a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, or have equivalent work experience.
- You are proficient in Java, PHP, Node.js, JavaScript, React.js, or other modern software development languages.
- You have a strong understanding of software design and testing principles.
- You can assess, communicate, and complete project milestones in a timely manner.
- You adapt to the technical and stylistic needs of integrations and projects.
- You review and assess the technical feasibility of project requirements and propose innovative solutions.

The Partner Integrations team is a fast-paced and high-impact team that helps Box and our partners build world-class enterprise solutions. Our goal is to create a powerful best-of-breed cloud stack with a single content layer, enabling our customers to connect content flow across their favorite business apps. Box values community and in-person collaboration, with employees expected to work from their assigned office at least two days per week, focusing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
