Role Overview

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on a variety of interdisciplinary teams. You will have the opportunity to partner with colleagues across the company to accelerate our pathway to mass-market, consumer-grade brain-computer interfaces.

Responsibilities

Design and implement simple and elegant software solutions.
Work on implant firmware or embedded software.
Develop systems for manufacturing, analyzing, and testing the device.
Create data platforms to collect, organize, and visualize diverse data sets.
Contribute to neurosurgical robot software and lab management systems.
Develop software that interacts in real-time with our neural interfaces.
Work on on-prem & cloud infrastructure to enable safe and robust operations.

Required Qualifications

Ability to design and implement simple and elegant software solutions.
Proven track record of shipping software with real-world impact.
Enthusiasm for technology and software.
Understanding of how systems work at a fundamental level.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Ruby, Python, and/or JavaScript.
Experience with C/C++/Rust.
Knowledge of container management and orchestration.
Experience with full-stack application frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Django.
Understanding of web development and infrastructure development.
