Job Description
Join Reddit, Inc. as a Software Engineer on the ML Ranking Platform team. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance ranking systems that power personalized feeds on Reddit. You will work closely with Backend Architects, Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and domain experts to deliver top-notch personalized ranking systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement next-generation backend ranking systems for personalized feeds on Reddit.
- Explore new technologies to enhance personalized ranking capabilities.
- Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code to facilitate quick and safe iterations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer developing backend platforms at scale, using languages such as Go, Python, or C++.
- Proficiency in GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and GRPC, with the ability to design maintainable APIs.
- Experience in designing and implementing performant, stable, and maintainable API interfaces.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, design, and documentation.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a self-directed, innovative approach, thriving in fast-paced environments.
- BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay Transparency
This position offers a base salary range of $185,800 to $260,100 USD. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units. Reddit provides a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with employer match, generous time off for vacation, and parental leave.
