Join Reddit as a Machine Learning Engineer, Core Ranking
Reddit is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our Core Ranking team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the personalization and discovery features for our over 50 million daily users. As part of the Core Ranking ML team, you will work with vast amounts of data to improve user experiences across Reddit.
Role Overview
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for owning projects from ideation to production. You will collaborate with other software engineers to enhance the recommendation systems and models that power Reddit's personalization and discovery features.
Key Responsibilities
- Train, evaluate, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models to improve user experiences.
- Participate in the full software development cycle: design, develop, QA, deploy, experiment, analyze, and iterate.
- Collaborate across disciplines and with other ML teams at Reddit to find technical solutions to complex challenges.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of hands-on, post-grad, non-internship professional experience with Machine Learning in a production-based environment.
- Solid theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning and Statistical concepts, including Deep Learning.
- Experience with recommender and/or ranking systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
- Experience working with data-intensive systems and writing production-quality software, preferably in Python or Golang.
- Experience with Kafka, KSQL, and Flink is a plus.
- Proficient with SQL and the ability to extract insights from data.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay Transparency
This position offers a competitive salary range of $185,800 to $260,100 USD annually. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units. Reddit also provides a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with employer match, generous time off for vacation, and parental leave.
