Join Reddit as a Senior Data Scientist

Reddit is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Data Science Team. This role is remote-friendly, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Business Development, to enhance Reddit's core products and drive user and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development: Engage in all phases of product development, from ideation to post-launch monitoring. Conduct exploratory analysis, opportunity sizing, metrics design, offline modeling, experimentation, and decision-making.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data to understand Reddit's users and potential product investments. Design experiments, perform causal inference, and improve data accessibility for stakeholders by creating ETLs, reporting dashboards, and data aggregations.
• Strategic Partnering: Act as a thought partner for product managers, engineering managers, and leadership. Communicate and shape the roadmap and strategy for Reddit by identifying actionable insights through deep-dive analyses.

Required Qualifications

• Educational Background: Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields. If holding an M.S. or Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3+ years of industry data science experience is required; if holding a Ph.D., a minimum of 1+ years is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis, programming languages such as R or Python, and querying relational databases like SQL.
• Experimentation Expertise: Deep understanding of online experimentation and causal inference.
• Communication Skills: Strong technical communication skills with the ability to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem Solving: Ability to tackle ambiguous and undefined problems in innovative and fast-paced environments.

Salary and Equity

• Base Salary Range: $164,200—$229,900 USD annually.
• Equity: Eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units.
