Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)
About the Role
Grammarly is seeking enthusiastic and talented Software Engineering Interns to join our dynamic Engineering team for a three-month internship during the summer of 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are passionate about software development and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:
- Work on End-to-End Projects: Engage in engineering challenges that align with your team's high-level goals. You will have the opportunity to ship code in your first week after orientation.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with a mentor to scope, design, and execute a fully formed project over the duration of your internship. You will collaborate with a strong team of professionals and learn from them daily.
- Utilize a Variety of Technologies: Get hands-on experience with a variety of APIs, frameworks, and programming languages. You will learn from the challenges of shipping a product to tens of millions of daily active users.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Passion for Communication: A strong interest in Grammarly’s mission to improve lives by improving communication.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language. Grammarly’s tech stack includes Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, or Go, but applicants with other specialties are encouraged to apply.
- Availability: Must be available for the entire duration of the twelve-week program.

Compensation
The expected pay for this position is $46.00 USD per hour.
Work Environment
Grammarly operates with a remote-first hybrid work model. Interns must be based in the United States and able to meet in person for collaboration weeks during the internship, traveling if necessary to the hub(s) where their team is based.
