About the Role

Roche is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our team focused on Intelligent Content Search. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for our Content Search & Knowledge Management product. This includes ensuring the product is built for purpose, with built-in observability, self-service, and automation, and deeply integrated into our Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics ecosystem, ensuring reusability and platform elasticity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design End-to-End Architectures: Develop search architectures considering scalability, security, relevance, and performance.
• Implement AI-Driven Solutions: Utilize AWS cloud services to enhance Knowledge Management, Information Retrieval, and Search Engines.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Develop Process Design Documentation: Create comprehensive flowcharts and diagrams to effectively communicate AI and Cloud architecture.
• Apply NLP and GenAI Techniques: Use techniques like Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) for efficient information retrieval from unstructured data sources.
• Evaluate AI and Cloud Technologies: Recommend technologies to enhance knowledge management processes.
• Ensure Solution Scalability and Reliability: Conduct proper testing and optimization.
• Provide Architectural Guidance: Support development teams during implementation.
• Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of advancements in AI, Cloud, and information retrieval technologies.
• Facilitate System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of AI and Cloud platforms with existing systems and applications.
• Implement Security Measures: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data protection policies.

Who You Are

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, systems analysis, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 7-10 years of professional IT experience, with proven experience as a Solution Architect in AI and cloud-based projects.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, particularly in building scalable and secure architectures. Familiarity with NLP algorithms, information retrieval, and search engines (preferred technologies: Sinequa, Google Cloud Search).
• Knowledge Management: Understanding of knowledge management systems and search engine technologies.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Decision Making: Ability to evaluate trade-offs and make sound architectural decisions.
• Technology Expertise: Expertise in multiple technology domains (e.g., networks, systems, databases, security).
• Framework Methodologies: Familiarity with architecture framework methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
