Job Overview
At Cisco Meraki, we are seeking a Technical Lead with a strong background in backend and full-stack development. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining our web applications, particularly the Meraki Dashboard, which manages millions of network devices. You will be instrumental in building scalable and extendable systems that enhance our SDWAN & Security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex architecture problems to build scalable and extendable systems.
- Work with firmware engineers and product managers to build intuitive and powerful workflows to handle containers.
- Coordinate and align knowledge and opinions between Firmware, SRE, and Dashboard developers.
- Implement sophisticated Dashboard systems and infrastructure to handle MX SDWAN and Security solutions.
- Identify and solve performance bottlenecks in our MX Dashboard architecture.
- Take complete ownership from conception to production release by maximizing your ability to influence, facilitate, and work collaboratively across teams.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of proven experience writing professional production code and tests for large-scale systems.
- 10+ years of experience in backend and full-stack technologies including Ruby on Rails, Scala, and Go.
- Experience working on large scale systems.
- Can implement efficient database design and query performance in a relational database (Postgres, SQL).
- Outstanding communication skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience in building rich Web UIs with React (and Redux).
- Experience building cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., Web applications).
- Experience or interest in Security or Networking.
- Experience with Container solutions (Kubernetes).
